Whether you call it oxblood, wine red, cranberry, berry red or burgundy, this shade is one that has been embraced by almost everyone I’ve seen in the past few months. Even though it’s been “on-trend” for a while now, I ALWAYS find myself eyeing products in this colour when I’m out and about. I love how it works for tops, bottoms, coats and accessories…I seriously cannot get enough of it!

I especially love the ASOS jewelled-neck dress above; I reckon it would make for a great Indian outfit if I combined it with some black leggings, a sheer black scarf (or dupatta), and the right sort of Indian jewellery! Nothing I love more than a versatile piece of clothing

Wednesday Wish List – Clutch Love

If, like me*, you tend to go with ‘safe’ colours when it comes to dresses (think black, navy, cream etc), then a great way to add a pop of colour is to go for a statement clutch! The Proenza Schouler clutch just about wins this one, in my eyes; I love the colour, structure and the silver hardware! That said, the Matthew Williamson one would be perfect for an Asian event, with a simple black or white sari.

Of course, statement shoes are a possibility if you’d prefer to stick to simple clutches, but I find that it’s easier to get more use out of coloured bags than coloured shoes. Plus, a girl can never have too many bags/purses/clutches! But then again…you can never have too many shoes either, right?!

*I’m trying to shake up my wardrobe’s colour palette this year, so hopefully this won’t be the case for too long!

I used to be one of those people whose wardrobes consisted of darker shades, and prints were just never on my radar. But recently, brighter colours and prints have begun to make regular appearances in my outfits, and I’ve come to absolutely love printed/patterned knits! They provide an easy way to add colour to an outfit, and they keep you warm…what’s not to love?!

I’m not sure why, but blue seems to be my colour of choice at the moment;  my eyes are always drawn to clothes, bags and accessories with blue hues in!

I seem to go in phases with my colour lusts – up until last month, it was wine red/oxblood/cranberry/whatever the cool kids are calling it these days. Anyone else find they do that?
